The actor’s union website allows members to pay their dues, track their residuals, and report questionable behavior on set. Actors can also opt to receive direct deposits for their residuals which is convenient. Want to learn about contracts and rates? Cost: $3,000 initiation fee + $218.60 annual base dues

An Actors Access subscription is must-have for any actor working in television and film. Casting directors use this platform to release breakdowns for roles which actors can submit themselves for or have reps submit them. Actors can also maintain a public facing profile page with their headshots, resume and demo reels for casting to view online.

Cost: $68 per year

Also known as LA Casting. Similar to Actors Access in that performers are able to view breakdowns and submit themselves for film, TV, commercial, theatre and other types of projects. Most working actors maintain both Actors Access and Casting Networks profiles.

Cost: $25 per year for basic membership (additional fees apply for extra photo and media uploads)

Similar to Actors Access and LA Casting, Casting Frontier makes it possible for actors to submit themselves for thousands of performance jobs directly to casting directors. Keep in mind though that most of the opportunities on this platform are for commercials and featured background work for television.

A great way to keep up with who’s casting for what in the Los Angeles and New York markets. Not only can you get information about upcoming projects, you can also get the downlow on casting directors/associates/assistants as well as their mailing addresses and social media handles.
